Do not let any money or valuable leave the house, wear new clothes, do not do the laundry, stock up cupboards with food, eat 12 pieces of grapes – there are a lot of other superstitions that go around during the New Year. Some are ok, some are funny, and others that are downright crazy.
In Houston Texas though, a multi-cultural region of various traditions and superstitions, there is one common practice observed throughout the rolling expanse of picturesque landscapes and towering buildings – celebrating in a big way!
